Keep your knowledge base up to date without starting over. Every source lives in Knowledge Base. Each one lets you edit, re-sync, turn off, or delete it. Uploaded files have one more control: whether the assistant can send the file to a customer.
Edit
Change the title, content, or category.
Use this when you need to fix something small, like a price, a typo, or content the assistant keeps quoting incorrectly.
Re-sync
Read the source again from its original location.
Use this after you change a page on your website, so your knowledge base matches what’s live.
Re-sync works only for sources with an original location, such as:
- imported website pages
- catalog items
Uploaded documents can’t be re-synced. To update one, delete it and upload the new version.
Turn off
Set the source to Off.
The source stays in your account, but will not be used in assistant responses.
This is the safest way to test whether a source is helping. Turn it off, ask a few questions in Test AI Responses, and turn it back on if answers get worse.
Let the AI send a file
Uploaded files only. This decides whether the assistant can give the file itself to a customer.
It is off unless you turn it on, either with the checkbox in the upload form or here. A file that cannot be sent still answers questions. The assistant just never hands the file over.
Open the row menu and choose Allow sharing. The row then shows a Shareable tag.
Turn this on only for files you are happy to give to any visitor, such as a menu, a brochure, or a form. Leave it off for internal price sheets and staff documents.
See Upload a document for the full steps.
Delete
Permanently remove the source and free up page quota.
Work in bulk
Select multiple rows to manage several sources at once.
You can also use Select all to select everything in the current filter.
This is the fastest way to clean up a large website import.
Find sources faster
Use the filter menu to show one source type at a time:
- Business info
- Website
- Document
- FAQ
- Catalog
- Chat history
Use Clear to reset the filter. The count above the list always matches the filtered results.
Next step
If a source shows Can’t read, go to What to do if a source can’t be read.
